PERFECT QUESTIONS, PERFECT ANSWERS.

Common questions we get from owner operators, fleets and contractors.

What do you need to quote my trucking operation?

Typically your MC/DOT number, driver list with CDL details, unit list with VINs and values, commodities hauled, radius of operation and current loss runs. If you’re new in business, we can work from the units and drivers you plan to start with.

Certificates are issued during business hours, usually the same day the request comes in. Send the certificate holder details and any additional insured or waiver requirements from the contract.

Non-trucking liability covers you when you’re driving outside of dispatch — for example, taking the truck home. If you’re leased on to a motor carrier whose policy only covers you under dispatch, it usually fills that gap.

Enough to cover the highest-value load you’ll haul, plus whatever your broker or shipper contracts require. We review your contracts before setting a limit rather than defaulting to a round number.

Loss history, driver experience and MVRs, radius of operation, commodities, unit values and the limits you carry. Improving driver screening and safety documentation is the fastest lever most operations have.

Yes — required filings are submitted as part of placing coverage, and we keep them current when your authority or coverage changes.
